In my latest column 2005: A Look Over The Edge, I highlight Bloodsport and the remastered TPB as two of the comics I am looking forward to in 2005.

Have a look ::)

With X-Force, Rob proved he could stick to a monthly schedule, I wish he would do the same for Bloodsport. I mean, I think it's a year and half since issue #1.

I seem to remember it coming out in July 2003 - is that right???

Yep Bloodsport has been out for almost 2 years now. Its a shame too, I think its Robs best idea ever. I cant wait to see how it turns out.

What I'll be doing on Free Comic Book Day.
Nice column, another way of bringing new readers would be to selll TPBs with the DVDs so they could read full stories. What do you think?

I like that idea. The free comics barely have anything in them to get someone going.

John, That's a great idea 8-) The comic industry needs to expose its product to as many people as possible!

BTW, thanks again for supporting the column!

I agree with you on the heroes dying in Bloodsport. Keep em alive!! Anyway, Icant enjoy Mark Millars writting, too sick for my tastes.

I really like it with Bloodsport. Its something different with Robs world that we have never seen before. Yes there was a couple of gross things in Bloodsport. But over all, Robs best idea ever.

Thanks all for reading ;D.

I'm sorry to point this out, but Bloodsport was not Rob's idea, it was Mark Millar's.

Rob asked Mark to help him re-launch Youngblood. Mark went off and read all the issues and came up with ... nothing.

He couldn't think of any new Youngblood stories. It got to the point where he almost pitched Rob a Supreme story when he got the big idea - how cool would it be to look at a team at the bottom of their career. How interesting would it be for heroes to be so washed up and irrelevant that they would consider taking part in a bloodsport competition to pick a new team ...

Personally, I really don't like this idea ... It makes me uncomfortable to see Rob's creations abused in this way ... But I love Rob's art ... So, you see my dilemma?

I prefer to read Youngblood who are heroic and noble - and maybe that's the point of BS and the only point of Millar's genius in this whole project!

This is my honest opinion - I'm not bashing anyone, it's just that Youngblood Bloodsport is not my type of Youngblood - I prefer the type of story found in Youngblood Imperial ...

Wow, I had no clue Mark came up with it all. I thought it was something Rob had planned up. I feel a little silly now. I have been going on and on about how much I loved Robs Idea. I like the old stuff to, but it is something new and interesting to see. I just like the part that everyone is going to be fighting. Till one winner is left standing.

No need to feel silly! As I recall, once Mark came up with the BIG idea, he and Rob put together the details ...

So, we are both right, the final idea was a collaboration ;D
